Florida licensure renewal window is now open!
We encourage everyone to get started on the renewal process as soon as possible.
Florida requires licensure of genetic counselors as of July 2021. More information can be found here.
Current licenses expire on 12/31/25 for all fully licensed genetic counselors in Florida.
Genetic Counselor Awareness Day has officially evolved into Genetic Counselor Appreciation. This change not only recognizes the importance of raising awareness for our profession, but it also reflects celebrating genetic counselors.
FLAGC has set up a virtual social event from 12 pm - 1 pm EST on Thursday November 13th, 2025 for members to connect with our colleagues and celebrate all the work we do as genetic counselors.
