Florida now requires licensure of genetic counselors.
More information can be found here.

Licensure renewal dates have been extended to 12/31/23 for all fully licensed genetic counselors in Florida. Renewal information will be available October 2, 2023.

The Florida Association of Genetic Counselors (FLAGC) supports the profession of genetic counseling within the state of Florida. Formally organized as a Florida non-profit corporation in 2016, the primary goals of the organization include furthering the profession of genetic counseling by obtaining state licensure, providing an annual educational conference, and serving as a way for genetic counselors in Florida to stay connected.

Want to get involved? We are always looking for additional committee volunteers! Fill out our application or email us at floridagenetics@gmail.com to learn how to become more involved!
